We invite all EU SMEs, clusters and scalling-up support organisations [1] to participate in a unique in a kind Group Exchange organised in Eskişehir, Turkey in 10-12 May. Eskişehir has a key importance for the Turkish rail sector, as it can be considered its hub.

 

The event is organised within the EU-funded EXXTRA Project (“EXcellence EXchange and Teaming-up between RAilway clusters and ecosystems”) by the partner of the project ARUS (Anatolian Rail Transportation System Cluster) and foresees 3 full days of activities including attending the Rail Industry Show in Eskişehir, presentations of Turkish Railway market by ARUS, B2B meetings with Turkish companies at booths, visits to URAYSİM Test Center (Anadolu University) and local rail supply companies as TÜRASAŞ and Savronik or Albayrak.

The exchange allows all interested Visiting Organisations (VOs) not only to discover the vibrant Turkish railway market, visit the trade show or find new business partners, but also to receive a reimbursement for the costs incurred in the mission (travel, hotel, …) equal to 375 Euro. The participation requires an obligatory registration and specific steps to proceed according to the project. Group Exchange in Turkey description:

Draft Agenda:

All 3 days of exchange will be moderated by Arif Aktaş (Project Manager at ARUS – Anatolian Rail Transportation System Cluster). As speaker of all presentations made during the 1st day and contact person for all VOs during the B2B meetings and visits to companies during all days is also Arif Aktaş.

10th May:

– ARUS will present the Turkish Railway Industry.

– Opportunity to get to know Turkish Railway companies, culture and their products/solutions

– Benefit from opportunities to diffuse information about your company in the fair

  • 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch

 

  • 14:00 – 18:00: B2B meetings with Turkish companies at ARUS booth (D-111)

– Opportunity to meet new companies and their railway solutions

– Expand the network of contacts and develop business and collaborations with them

– Gain knowledge on the Turkish railway market

From Turkish side will participate members of ARUS and other Turkish companies of Railway Supply Chain. To create synergies and cross collaboration among participants, for the meetings will be selected Turkish companies that are more relevant to the businesses of coming VOs.

 

11th May:

  • 10:00 – 13:00: B2B meetings with Turkish companies at ARUS booth (D-111)

– Opportunity to meet new companies

– Expand the network of contacts and develop business and collaborations with them

– Find innovative solutions to upgrade your business, products and services

From Turkish side will participate members of ARUS and other Turkish companies of Railway Supply Chain. To create synergies and cross collaboration among participants, for the meetings will be selected Turkish companies that are more relevant to the businesses of coming VOs.

  • 14:00 – 18:00: Visit to URAYSİM Test Center visit (Anadolu University)

– The HO will introduce the VOs to the testing capabilities in this Center

– The VOs can gain insights and techniques used by the Center

12th May:

– The HO will introduce the VOs to the locos, DMUs, EMUs, components in Turkish railway markets. Also make presentation of Roles of producers of rolling stocks in Turkey. Following: visit at the premises and matchmaking meeting between the VOs and TÜRASAŞ.

 

  • 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch

 

  • 14:00 – 18:00: Savronik or Albayrak Company visit (tbc one of two)

– The HO will introduce the VOs to the signalisation systems and Rail Supply Industry in Turkish railway market.
