EUROPEAN RAILWAY AWARD – NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN !
The rail sector was not just one of many dealing with the extraordinary challenges of the global coronavirus pandemic. It has come to the rescue of Europe’s economy with noteworthy resilience in these times of crisis.
In 2021 the European Commission is planning to put rail in the spotlight through a dedicated European Year of Rail. What better way to showcase rail’s impressive capabilities than by competing to become the next European Railway Award winner?
We are accepting the nomination of candidates responding to the following eligibility criteria:
- Nominations can be for any individual, project, initiative, study, etc. having made a significant contribution to the European rail sector in any of the following areas: transport policy, sustainability, competitiveness and innovation, cross-border/cross-mode collaboration or social responsibility
- The person/project/initiative/study must be based in Europe and be nominated for a relevant achievement demonstrating innovative thought leadership, inspiring political action or pioneering technological advances
- Nominations must include a clear description of the achievement that the person/project/initiative/study is being nominated for and be accompanied by a proper set of supporting documents (e.g. resume, articles, photos, presentations, videos, etc.)
Nominations should be submitted by 30 June 2020.
Eligible candidates will be shortlisted and put to a jury vote.
